It depends on the publisher but it's not rare to see stuff like Seven Seas' translation of Citrus that I saw posted here some time ago. Also, the way the books are made is not nearly close to how good the japanese editions are. And obviously the higher price.
And horrible connection with the readers, there are publishers that just disappear without saying a word.
Aoi hana, announced in 2013, first volume in 2015, second volume in 2018, the publisher doesn't answer on facebook and the last post is from november.
Otome no teikoku, second volume in 2013, third volume in 2017 with higher price.
Girlfriends, announced in 2013, published with random in releases in 2015/2016.
Koukaku no Pandora, announced in 2014 or 2015, never published, not a word from the publisher.
And they are all different publishers. I don't know who got citrus but I doubt it will have a decent treatment. There are so few readers here I'm already seeing it with discontinuous releases and a high price.
