Huh. That rate is less than I thought it'd be.
Well, that brings up something to talk about. Is it polite to talk about rates? If the author and commissioner are both OK, it's probably fine, but might it make other writers feel like they're over/undercharging? Or is it nobody's business? Should I not have even commented on it?
Until I actually got a commission, I never once considered what my rate should be. I sort of just pulled one out of the air based on what other people were talking about. Then again, Snek writes thousands of words a day, and I only pull 1000 a day if I'm really rolling.
(and depsite continuing to look, I can't find a picture of a hung futa on a pile of money. Maybe I need to commission someone to draw that...)
